Does it also work if I rent out accommodation next to pitches?

Yes. Pitches, glamping, rental units, rooms and holiday homes run in the same calendar and the same booking link. You can also rent out bikes, boats or rooms — hourly or daily.

Do you take commission per booking?

No. 0% commission. You pay €49.90 per month or €499 per year, plus the one-time €149 setup fee.

Where is customer data stored?

Production booking and customer data is stored on Hetzner servers in Germany. Hetzner is a German data centre and cloud provider certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022; its cloud services also hold a BSI C5 Type 2 attestation. Data sent between the browser and the system is encrypted. Our databases are backed up automatically every day; the backups are also encrypted and stored separately from the running system. This allows us to restore data after a technical failure. We never store payment card details; Stripe handles them. No reputable provider can promise absolute protection against every possible data loss. ID data is not collected by default — only if your site enables the optional ID verification.

Can I choose deposit or prepayment?

Yes. You decide: fixed deposit, full prepayment, or even no deposit at all. Optionally with a booking fee or no-show protection.

Do I need a new website?

Accepted Answer

No. You can simply use a booking link or place a button on your existing website. If you want a new one: the website editor is included in every plan — with templates for holiday homes, apartments and campsites, a preview for phone and tablet, and a booking button that leads straight into your system. Can I set up my system myself?

After purchase your booking page and admin access are created automatically. Your access details arrive by email within minutes. The one-time €149 covers system provisioning. In the admin area, use quick start to create units and base prices yourself, add seasons and use guided tours when needed. You can import existing bookings yourself from CSV. Check everything, then publish your booking link. Basic setup needs no appointment with us; help is available for questions.

Can I test the system first?

Yes. Open the live demo right in your browser — no registration, with sample data. Try the guest booking flow and the admin area as much as you like.

Can customers cancel themselves?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Subscriptions and cancellations are handled via Stripe at the end of the billing period.

My site is seasonal — do I still pay all year?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it works in your favour: your early bookings arrive in winter. Switching the booking page off in January costs you exactly the reservations for the coming season. The yearly plan is €499 — with a six-month season that is around €83 per season month, at 0% commission on every booking. If you really need a break, you can cancel monthly: your units, prices and guest data stay stored, and we reactivate your account as soon as you come back — just email info@keepitsimplebooking.com.

How much do I save compared to a commission-based provider?

It depends on how many of your bookings run through portals or agents today — only those cost commission. There is a calculator on the homepage: set bookings per month, average booking value, the share via agents and your commission rate, and you see straight away what it adds up to per year. The one-time setup fee is already deducted there, and your payment provider's fees apply either way.

Can I keep using booking portals?

Yes. Choose the Calendar Sync for €19.90/month per business if you only need occupied dates exchanged with Airbnb and Booking.com via iCal. It includes all accommodation but is not real-time and does not transfer rates, guest details or messages. For automatic reservations, availability, rates and minimum stays, choose the full Channel Manager for €79.90/month per business or location. Both are optional and the standard package also works without them.

Can I use KISB as an app on iPhone, iPad and Android?

Yes. KISB is an installable web app (PWA) included with the booking system. On iPhone and iPad add it from Safari via Share → Add to Home Screen; on Android use Install app in the browser. It then opens from its own icon without browser bars and receives KISB updates automatically. A separate App Store download is not required.

Can I suggest features or improvements?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can send us ideas from your day-to-day operation at any time. We personally review every suggestion and prioritise improvements that help several businesses. A submission is not yet a promise of implementation or a fixed date; released improvements to the shared system are included with every active subscription.

Question 16

Is AI required, and what data does it receive?

Accepted Answer

No. Bookings, payments and channel synchronisation work without AI. Claude by Anthropic is used only for the optional guest chat. The visitor's message and the business information approved for the answer are transmitted; personal booking, customer and payment data from KISB is not included.

Question 17

Can I create invoices and track payments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add your logo, invoice details, taxes and bank account once. You can then create and send an invoice from each booking and record bank transfers in its payment history. Stripe payments are recorded automatically. If you choose, KISB can also issue invoices automatically when a booking is confirmed or paid.

Can I switch easily from my current booking system?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Export your bookings as CSV; save an Excel file as CSV first. Check the structure locally on this website without sending the file. Then create matching units in your own system and open booking import. Map columns, review the preview and confirm the import yourself. Check the import result and occupancy before publishing your link. Invoice archives, payment histories and messages are not imported; keep them in your old system. Help is available when needed.
